The car
A 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo coupé of the 997.1 generation in Basalt Black Metallic over Bordeaux Red full leather, with the six-speed manual gearbox. VIN WP0AD29958S783600, as etched in the windscreen; the odometer reads 12,286 miles. The 997.1 Turbo carried a 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-six with variable turbine geometry, the first on a petrol production car, rated at 480 hp and driving all four wheels through Porsche Traction Management. The interior is Bordeaux Red leather throughout, across the dashboard, door panels, seats and steering wheel, over black carpets with small black accents and red-edged turbo floor mats. Carbon fibre is fitted to the gear lever, the handbrake lever, the dashboard trim strip and the door sill guards, which carry the turbo script, and a dash-top Sport Chrono clock and PCM navigation are in place. Outside, the car sits on 19-inch Turbo wheels with red brake callipers and Bi-Xenon headlamps. No departure from factory specification is recorded.
