The car
A 2012 Porsche 911 Turbo coupé of the 997.2 generation in Basalt Black Metallic over black full leather, with the six-speed manual gearbox, showing 21,559 miles. The 997.2 Turbo brought Porsche's first direct-injection Turbo engine: a 3.8-litre flat-six with twin variable-turbine-geometry turbochargers, rated at 500 hp and 480 lb-ft, driving all four wheels through Porsche Traction Management. Porsche offered it with the seven-speed PDK or the six-speed manual; this car has the manual, with a dual-mass flywheel. The original Porsche window sticker is held with the car and reconciles exactly to $150,280: base price $137,500, options $8,085, Porsche Exclusive options $3,745 and destination $950. It was sold new through Circle Porsche, Long Beach, California, with adaptive sport seats with driver memory, the limited-slip rear differential lock, heated front seats, Bi-Xenon headlamps with PDLS, the Sport Chrono Package Turbo with dynamic engine mounts and SiriusXM. The Porsche Exclusive list sets the car's character: dashboard air vent slats painted red, Guards Red instrument dials and Sport Chrono clock, crest-embossed headrests, a centre-console logo and coloured-crest floor mats. Four Scott Finlay Motorsports repair orders from South Miami run from June 2021 to February 2026, with readings rising from 20,380 to 21,503 miles: a new window motor, A/C belt and tensioner, horns and front lip spoiler in June 2021, new CV boots in November 2021, a four-year major service at 21,017 miles in December 2022 and an oil service in February 2026. With two parts invoices from The Collection, Coral Gables, the six documents total $11,710.51. The cabin carries red seat belts and turbo sill plates, on wheels finished in black. No departure from factory specification is recorded.
