The car
A new 2026 Meyers Manx Classic Resorter in Channel Islands yellow, built by Meyers Manx in California and offered by Motoring Archives, the official Meyers Manx dealer for Florida. It shows 136 miles. The Resorter was the Manx shape made for hotels and resorts in the 1960s and 1970s, with four seats and lower sides so that guests could step in and out; Meyers Manx records that 70 were built, many for fleets in Hawaii and Acapulco. This car carries a Meyers Manx maker's plate, serial R0018E2659S, and a Meyers Manx Registry Authentication plate numbered 2431. The Channel Islands fibreglass body wears the green-enamel Meyers Manx crest on the nose and Resorter script on the rear flanks, with chrome headlamps, polished tubular bumpers and sill nerf bars, Beetle-pattern tail lamps and a B. F. Meyers & Co. plate surround, under a full-length white top on a polished frame. The air-cooled flat-four sits in the open behind the body with Meyers Manx crest valve covers and a stainless steel exhaust, driving the rear wheels through a manual gearbox. Inside are four seats in black pleated vinyl — the front pair badged Meyers Manx by PRP, the rear bench with headrests and twin cup holders — lap belts at every place, a body-colour dash with a Volkswagen-pattern speedometer and a black-rim steering wheel with polished drilled spokes. It rides on cream steel wheels with chrome centre caps and General Grabber A/T tyres. Disclosed: no build invoice or service record is held at present, and the engine's displacement is not recorded.
